Sure. Main reason we ask is because it saves a lot of time and we can usually give the customer what they want regarding design and budget when we know a number. Sometimes the client has no idea what it costs and we understand that. We are here to educate.

Sure. We only use Low voltage LED outdoor landscape lighting. We charge per light and that includes fixture, light, warranty, install labor, equipment, and materials needed. Per light cost is dependent upon application, look, quality of lighting, etc. We usually install lights that are warm white in color. We also have multi-color options.

A low voltage transformer will be needed to power low voltage lights. Cost includes transformer, warranty, install labor, equipment, and materials needed.

We usually use an outlet on the side of the home that is above dirt, grass, or close to the concrete pad for A/C as we dig in low cable to power lights and we only go a 3 to 6 inches deep as the power is low voltage/12 volt and an electrician is not needed for the install.

If an outlet is not present, our electrician can install one. We will verify this during the estimate/design meeting.

For patio/event lighting, we use warm white LED bulbs and usually install them on suspender cord. We mount the cord to gauge metal wire that is installed to support the lights for permanent installation with eye hooks, etc. Cost depends on how many lights/footage will be needed. Warranty on this install is typically 6 months.

We only use LED bulbs as they are of superior quality to incandescent bulbs. Plastic LED bulbs do not break, and are safer around children and pets, while incandescent glass bulbs do break and have a much shorter life span.

We understand the limitation per timer or outlet is usually 15 amps for timer or 20 amps per circuit. We sometimes advise our clients to install a dedicated circuit to support a lighting project.

Space City Lights would advise this client to have an electrician come out that we can provide and take a look at the current electrical infrastructure of the home before a lighting installation. We can send out a licensed electrician to do this.

All costs have been measured out based on materials, labor, account management, billing, inventory, insurance, fuel, and other expenses a project may entail.

Once the season is over, we will come back to your residence for a takedown. We will draw a map of where all the lights are installed on your property, take down the lights, label the lights, and store the lights with a map in cardboard boxes provided by Space City Lights for safe keeping. We also upload the maps and create a soft copy in the event the maps get damaged.

The standard time we suggest for lights to come on is 5:30 pm. The suggested time for lights’ to go off during the holiday season is midnight.

Our timers are digital and backed up by battery meaning if your lights go out the clock time, “timer on”, and “timer off” times don’t change. So if you have an electrical outage during the holiday season and your electricity comes back on at 8pm your Christmas lights will come on too!

Sometimes GFCI outlets will be very sensitive and even though we try our best to protect the outlets from moisture during installation, ANY amount of moisture can sometimes trip the outlet. If this happens, we ask the client to wait until it stops raining and wait until the timer is in the off time period and reset GFCI. The next day, when things are dry, the lights should work ok. If the client still cannot get the lights to turn on, they are welcome to contact us, and we will be happy to make an in-person visit to resolve the issue.
